The Windows explorer view allows a user to select files that are on the current machine for inclusion into the installation. The installation explorer is a view of what file entries will be installed and the proporty window is where the details of a file can be modified.

At the time of adding a folder, users will be prompted with various options including:
• Adding a source path for file resources (where the files are present in the currect build environment)
• The destination path or the path the files will be placed at the time of installation
• Wild card includes or excludes (files by name that match will automatically be included or excluded in the installation)
• Install condition where the evaluation criteria must be met for the file to be installed
To add a file to the installation select the desired destination folder in the lower left panel and either double

Additional options are available by selecting the button located to the right of the "wildcards" option.
Wildcard support requires one or more source paths where Install Time™ will check for files and include them in the installation
Include wildcard - Install Time™ will include any file that matches the wildcard definition into the install (i.e. *.* includes all files)
Exclude wildcard - Install Time™ will include any file that matches the wildcard definition into the install (i.e. *.tmp excludes all temp files)
Condition - The condition that must be met for the component contains the file resource to be installed. Depending on component creation rules this may be assocated with one or more components.
Subdirectories - Indicates whether Install Time™ should also include subdirectories in its searach for including files with Wildcard support.
File Types - This enables special handling for files with recognized types. For instance INI files will be changed to use the supported ini tables and entries verses including the file.
To add a shortcut to the installation, select the desired file you wish the shortcut to point to in the
installation explorer view.
